Our Tenderfoot Weekend program from April 19-21, 2024, is approaching quickly.
Units will enjoy a cost effective, thoroughly educational event at PSR that will educate Scouts in valuable outdoor skills - from leaders to newly-crossed over Scouts. An online unit coordination meeting will be held Sunday, April 14 at 7:00pm,
The program and rank advancement will be focused on nine "learning" stations: Cutting Tools, Fire, Nature, Cooking, Knots (two classes), Lashings, Orienteering, and First Aid. These "learning" groups are designed to include 3 scouts each for 50 minutes of hands-on experience. A maximum 45 "learning scouts" (a maximum of 5 per station) will work through learning station. Participating troops are expected to teach a single station.
Knots, Lashings and Nature have already been reserved as of March 7, 2024, along with Summit East, Klewer East and Beard Campsites.
Stations and campsites are both assigned on a first come, first served basis. In order to save money and make the event free to participants, troops will "buddy up" and share a campsite in most cases.
Please direct inquiries on campsites, reservations and stations toward Jack Robinson at 419-270-7275, or by email. Contact Jack at john.robinson@scouting.org or Chris Cufr at ccufr@bex.net for more information.
Interested units should complete a Troop Roster and Code of Conduct attached below and either email to Jack or print and turn in on the day of the event.
