COVID-19 Precautions: This event has been designed using the guidelines from BSA National, Centers for Disease Control, The State of Ohio, and the Williams Country Health Department. These precautions are based on the Camp Frontier standards as described in the Camp Frontier 2021 Leader/Parent guide. Troops and Crews will be divided into patrols of 10 people that will cook and eat together. Whenever the patrol interacts with others, such as during flags, program activities, Vespers Service and Campfire, facemasks masks will be required. When separate from other patrols such as at their campsite, face mask usage will be at the discretion of the unit leaders. During patrol food preparation and serving, individuals wear as mask, wash/sanitize hands before touching or preparing any food, and will wear disposable food safe gloves. A completed Erie Shores Pre-Event COVID-19 Checklist will be required from all participants, to be turned in at the Friday Night Leader’s Meeting. Full details will be published in the Swan Creek District Spring Camporee Leader’s guide prior to the event.
Reservations: Declaring an intent to participate and approximate number of youth and adults that will be attending will be required by Friday April 9, 2021 registering below. The final number of youth and adults attending as well as payment will be due at the Friday Night Leader’s Meeting. You can choose to pay online via credit card prior to the event, but it is not required.
Campsites: PSR campsites can be reserved by visiting the link on the top right of the page.
Troop Trailers: Camp Frontier will be operating as a walk-in camp to maximize the safety of our Scouts. Troops may transport their troop trailer and/or troop gear to their campsite using a minimum number of vehicles (i.e. 1 or 2). All other vehicles should park in the Camp Frontier main parking lot.
Volunteers Wanted: As is our Swan Creek District custom, we are looking for units and individuals to help run program stations and to help with camp setup. We have created an initial list of the activities that we need to staff and are open to units proposing and/or running advancement or Scout skills stations that they feel would be beneficial. Contact Clif Vaughan firstname.lastname@example.org 419-344-8581 to volunteer.
