Dear Scout Leaders and Volunteers, 

It is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to the inaugural Trailhead Academy, the flagship training event brought to you by the Erie Shores Council, Boy Scouts of America. As Council Vice President of Program, I am honored to introduce this premier opportunity designed to enhance your leadership journey and enrich the scouting experience for both you and our young scouts. 

The trails we explore in scouting are not only the physical paths through the woods, but also the trails of character, knowledge, and growth that our scouts follow as they develop into responsible citizens and leaders of tomorrow. Trailhead Academy has been meticulously crafted to empower you with the skills, insights, and resources needed to guide these young minds effectively along their journey. 

Our council has always been committed to delivering top-notch training experiences, and Trailhead Academy takes that commitment to a whole new level. From interactive workshops led by seasoned experts to hands-on activities that mirror real-life scouting scenarios, you will find a diverse range of learning opportunities tailored to your needs. Whether you're a seasoned scout leader or just beginning your journey, this academy offers something valuable for everyone. 

The beautiful landscapes of Northwest Ohio serve as the backdrop for this transformative experience. The camaraderie that forms when like-minded leaders gather to share experiences, learn from one another, and inspire each other is something truly special. Trailhead Academy aims not only to equip you with practical skills but also to foster a sense of unity and community among our scouting family.

What is Trailhead Academy? 

Trailhead Academy is a series of training courses offered by Erie Shores Council to Scouting volunteers at all levels. During this fun-filled day, experienced volunteer leaders will present programs to help you improve your skills and expand your knowledge. You will also meet other leaders, gather new resources, and share ideas on building the best possible program for your Scouts.
