Merit Badges at Miakonda • Jan 6 • Camp Miakonda • Offered 21 different Merit Badges to 179 Scouts.
Commodore Perry Klondike Derby • Jan 26-28 • Camp Miakonda • 133 participants braved the cold to enjoy fun activities in the snow.
Wood Winter Weekend • Feb 2-4 • Camp Miakonda • 115 Scouts and 45 adults attended this wintery wonderland fun event.
Swan Creek Winter Weekend • Feb 9-11 • Camp Miakonda • 170 participants had fun hiding and finding treasures in this Pirates of Swan Creek themed event.
Northwest Klondike Derby • Feb 16-18 • Camp Miakonda • 164 youth designed and raced sleds in a Scooby Doo-themed event.
Spring Camporee hosted by Swan Creek • Apr 26-28 • Adams Conservation Club • 234 participants enjoyed activities including slingshots, archery, knife and tomahawk throwing along with a service project to clean an area of brush and fallen leaves.
Summer Programs
Cub Day Camp at Camp Miakonda • Jun-Jul • 649 youth enjoyed activities that included swimming, hiking, fishing, handicrafts, mountain biking and much more.
Camp Frontier Summer Camp • Jun-Aug • 1,578 Scouts, 617 Adults, 139 Troops, and 5,280 Merit Badges Earned.
Community Partner Attendees at Cub Day Camp • Jun-Jul • Camp Miakonda • 221 youth attended for outdoor learning.
White Star Cub Day Camp • Jul 24-26 • White Star Park • 168 youth enjoyed swimming, archery, hiking, and more.
Camp Frontier Adventure Camp • Jul 28-Aug 3 • Camp Frontier at Pioneer Scout Reservation • 67 Scouts and adults enjoyed swimming, tower climbing, archery and more.
Community Engagement
Eclipse Party • Apr 8 • Camp Miakonda • Hosted 561 visitors for an unforgettable day of celestial magic, community, and fun!
Camp Miakonda School Programs • May-Nov • 1,103 total participants from elementary, middle school , high school, and university groups.
Miakonda Adventure Day • Sep 21 • Camp Miakonda • This free public event had 389 guests attend and experience adventure, teambuilding, and fun at Camp.
Halloween Party • Oct 19-20 • Camp Miakonda • Over 1,380 guests and over 335 volunteer experience haunted attractions, games and activities, trick-and-treating, haunted hayride, and a pumpkin patch.
Breakfast with Santa • Nov 30 • Camp Miakonda • 147 attendees enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast, followed by photos, and a visit with Santa.
Financial Assistance and Camperships Provided • $17,097 was provided to youth in the form of registration assistance and camperships.
Service Hours Completed • Erie Shores Council Scouts completed over 21,440 community service hours.
Leadership Development
Order of the Arrow, Tindeuchen Lodge • 165 new members joined, 14 members received Brotherhood Honor, 5 received Vigil Honor, and completed 980 hours of Cheerful Service.
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) • Jun 2-7 • Camp Miakonda • 38 Scout participants with 27 youth and 10 adult staff attending the course.
High Adventure • 56 Scouts and 31 adults attended Philmont Scout Ranch.
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) • May 18 • Camp Miakonda • 21 adults underwent Outdoor Skills training at Camp Miakonda to improve their leadership for Scouts.
Fall Trailhead Academy • Oct 26 • Camp Miakonda • 24 Scouts and 46 adults attended training classes by experienced volunteer leaders to help improve their skills and expand their knowledge in courses such as first aid, unit budgeting, Dutch oven cooking, and more.
