NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE 2021
ERIE SHORES COUNCIL CONTINGENT
July 20-30, 2021
"Face the Challenge"
Summit Bechtel Reserve ("The Summit"), Southern West Virginia
Register now as a Council Contingent Member!
Experience the best of Scouting in one place!
You’ll have stadium shows, merit badges, zip lines, patch trading, whitewater rafting, mountain hiking, new friends, and challenging adventures!
You’ll want to be at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in 2021.
The jamboree is on a first-come basis to everyone who qualifies: youth (male and female) must be at least age 12 by July 21, 2021. Once our multiple patrols have been filled, a stand-by list of alternates will be established. Participants will be assigned to a jamboree troop consisting including youth and adults. Youth will be a member of a patrol within the troop. Adult participants (male and female) will support the youth and enjoy the jamboree experience!
We will send both male and female Scouts BSA patrols, and possibly a coed Venturing crew.
Our council contingent will consist of 30+ participants.
The Erie Shores Council Contingent will depart Camp Miakonda in Toledo by bus on July 20 (evening) and arrive at The Summit in southern West Virginia on July 21 (morning). Our Scouts & adults will camp there until July 30, when we will return by bus to Camp Miakonda.
The monthly payment plan is designed to help youth and families budget for this great investment, and includes payments due by the 20th of each month from July 2020 to May 2021 according to this schedule:
Payments are preferred by check mailed to Erie Shores Council, PO Box 8728, Toledo OH 43623.
Or payments can be made in person at the Scout Shop or online with this option: COMING SOON!
Youth spots in the Jamboree Contingent may be in short supply as we are only able to include so many in the contingent. In order to maintain your youth spot in the contingent, your monthly payments must remain current.
TO APPLY FOR A YOUTH OR ADULT CONTINGENT MEMBER:
Please visit https://jamboree.scouting.org/ and find the "Jamboree Participants" box (left side of the screen, just below the opening video clips & introductory text).
You can then "Learn More" or "Apply Now" -- note that each youth & adult participant applicant must have their own My.Scouting account in order to apply. You might even be able to apply for a scholarship during that online application process!
