STEM NOVA - Cub Scouts
Supernova - Cub Scouts
The Supernova Award can be earned by Cub Scouts who are in 2nd through 5th grade (Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light). With parents’ and unit leader’s help, Cub Scouts select a council-approved Supernova Mentor who is a registered Scouter. The Supernova Award application can be found HERE
STEM NOVA - Scouts BSA
Supernova - Scouts BSA
The Supernova Awards for Scouts BSA are progressive and are earned in the following order; Dr. Bernard Harris (Bronze), Thomas Alva Edison (Silver), and the Dr. Albert Einstein Award (Gold).
STEM NOVA - Venturing
Supernova - Venturing
The Supernova Awards for Venturing are progressive and are earned in the following order; Dr. Sally Ride (Bronze) or Dr. Bernard Harris (Bronze) earned in Scouts BSA, Wright Brothers (Silver), and the Dr. Albert Einstein Award (Gold).
Venturing STEM Exploration - Venturing Supernova requires a STEM Exploration in an approved field related to STEM. The requirements for a STEM Exploration have six requirements: Safety Considerations, Developing Knowledge, Hands-on Experiences, Career Exploration, and Value/Impact.
