Swan Creek District Fall Camporee 2017
The operating engineers teamed with the sheet metal, electrical, plumbing and carpentry trades will be providing hands on opportunities for Scouts to learn about operating heavy equipment and each of the trades. In previous events, Scouts were able to operate a bobcat and excavator under the supervision of the operating engineers, and built a sheet metal toolbox that they were able to take home, as well as projects involving electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills.
The operating engineers run a training and apprenticeship program out of the Cygnet training facility where students go to learn to operate heavy equipment. There are 160 acres where the students are trained to operate and practice with all kinds of heavy equipment from bulldozers, excavators, rollers, earth movers, payloaders, cranes and more.
Please RSVP below no later than Wednesday Oct. 4th for confirming program materials and food.
