Silver Beaver Award

Do you know of a volunteer Scouter who has truly shown the Scouting Spirit and gone above and beyond in their service to the youth of Northwest Ohio?  If so, be sure to nominate that special person for a Silver Beaver Award.  It is the highest honor a volunteer Scouter can receive from a local Scout council.

Nominations for the Silver Beaver award must be in to the Distinguished Awards Committee by March 15th for their consideration. Click HERE for Nomination form. Silver beaver awards will be presented at the Scouter Recognition dinner.

Overview

The Silver Beaver Award is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given at the council level.

Who Can Earn This Award?

Presented by the National Court of Honor on behalf of Erie Shores Council.

How To Get the Award

Anyone may nominate any deserving registered Scouter to the Council, which selects recipients for the following year. 

Supply Item Description & Uniform Placement

Silver Beaver presentation kits, certificates, pocket cards, Silver Beaver medal suspended from ribbon worn around neck on formal occasions, knot for uniform worn above left pocket, and lapel pin for civilian wear.
